Back to Top Hiking & Trails John Redmond ATV Trails Otter Creek ATV trails (south end of John Redmond Dam via access road) run along the dam, in the trees, and along the Otter Creek access road. Wolf Creek Environmental Education Area The Area is open from dawn to dusk, year-round with 5 trails featuring a variety of Kansas habitats. Gridley City Lake - Currently Under Construction 3 acres. Fishing. State fishing license and City license required. John Redmond Reservoir 9,400 acres. 3 miles N, 1 mile W of Burlington. Fishing (state fishing license and city fishing license required), park, and playground. There is a special trout season at the New Strawn Lake from January 1 through May 1.
