Beat the Heat Poker Run tentative date as of 11/18/2007.

Annual "Beat the Heat" Poker Run
Hosted by Buddies Bar and Grill, New Strawn, KS. All types of vehicles (2- and 4-wheel) welcome. Details to be announced at a later date. All proceeds benefit the "Martin Smith Youth Fishing Program" and go to purchase fishing licenses for the youth of area city lakes. Call 620.364.5550 Mon-Sat after 3 pm for info.

NASCAR Simulator
Friday May 2nd,10:00a.m.- 7:00p.m. at Caldwell Auto Parts, 1044 Hwy 75, Burlington, KS.

Farmer's Market
The Farmer's Market is back for another season (May-October) beginning the first Friday in May. Home grown vegetables, canned goods, elk meat, hand-made items, and more. The market is open 4-7 p.m. Fridays in the Municipal Parking Lot north of the red caboose on 4th Street (U.S. Hwy 75) in Burlington. New vendors are always welcome. May Daze Festival, Downtown Burlington, KS
This "rain or shine" event takes place the first Saturday in May and is fun for the whole family with a classic car show, a talent show, 3-on-3 street basketball, food vendors, arts and crafts vendors, downtown shopping, kids rides, and more! This event is organized by Burlington Promotions. Call 620.364.8484 for registration and vendor information.
