3rd Annual WildBlue Bar Be Que Cook-off & Expo, July 20th at Kelly Park Coffey County Fairgrounds, Burlington, KS
This annual event, in its third year, is organized by the Lyon-Coffey Electric Cooperative (Burlington). Arts & Craft vendors and Bar-be-que competitors make this an all-around event for the family. Booths are set-up indoors and outdoors; rain or shine.

Adult/Child/Infant CPR - Blended Learning Mon, July 2nd, 6-8:30p $40. Registration ends June 13th. Blended learning program combines online (web-based) lessons with instructor-led training. Students complete the knowledge portion online at their own pace and convenience then participate in an abbreviated instructor-led skills session to practice and demonstrate skills. Participants learn aid for conscious and unconscious victims, breathing, choking and cardiac emergencies for adults, children, and infants until advanced medical personel arrival. First Aid for the Childcare Provider Mon, July 16 6:30-8:30p $20. Registration ends July 9th. Two-hour presentation covers the skills needed to recognize and provide basic first aid care in a child care setting. This presentation does not result in a First Aid certification but does meet state daycare worker licensing requirements. Register via e-mail or call 620.364.5547

Disaster Services Training--Disaster Assessment Sat, July 28 9a-1p Free. Registration ends one week prior to class; prerequisite: Fulfilling Our Mission (April 11th). Learn how to collect and communicate disaster assessment information, and become familiar with how disaster assessment information supports management and service delivery decisions. Coffey County Fair See Fair Schedule The Coffey County fair is the longest consecutively-running fair in the State of Kansas at 127 years. All events take place in the 4-H buildings and at the fairgrounds at Kelley Park, 3rd and Allegheny, Burlington, Kansas, (off Highway 75 south) unless otherwise noted on the schedule.
The carnival coincides with the fair and runs from July 26th-29th with wristband nights on the 26th and 29th 6-10 p.m. Please see the Member Directory and Recreation pages for lodging, dining, and other county information.

Farmer's Market The Farmer's Market is back for another season (May-October) beginning the first Friday in May. The market is open 4-7 p.m. Fridays in the Municipal Parking Lot north of the red caboose on 4th Street in Burlington. New vendors are always welcome. Fireworks Shows & Community Celebrations
- Burlington Fireworks in Kelley Park light up the night sky in celebration of the fourth. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the show! Call 620-364-5334 for more information.
