Our Mission Statement The Coffey County Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center is dedicated to establishing and maintaining itself as the primary advocate, voice, and resource for promoting the Chamber member businesses and tourism attractions of Coffey County by cultivating community involvement, encouraging business alliances, nurturing the growth and development of new and existing businesses, and creating educational opportunities for the youth of our communities and promoting tourist attractions in Coffey County. About the Chamber The Chamber was formed to promote businesses in Coffey County and serves member businesses in Burlington, Gridley, Le Roy, Lebo, New Strawn, and Waverly. The Chamber office is located in an authentic railroad caboose, converted for office space, at the corner of Highway 75 and Neosho Streets (110 North 4th Street) in Burlington, Kansas. The caboose is also home to the Coffey County Visitor Center. The Chamber office and Visitor Center is open year-round, Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (open over the lunch hour). Chamber Staff

Information we can provide includes county/city and state maps; history and points of interest; and listings for businesses, churches, employers, housing, camping, hiking, boating, cemeteries, schools, community events, civic organizations; as well as member business brochures, business cards, and information. Gift certificates are valid at ANY Coffey County merchant. Stop by the Chamber office during business hours to purchase gift certificates. Member businesses with accounts in good standing may be invoiced for orders. Please contact the Chamber office for orders of 10 or more gift certificates (to allow preparation of the certificates in the desired amounts). Back to top Chamber Events Chamber After Hours Hosting this networking opportunity is open to all Chamber-member businesses (with a full membership). Just call the Chamber office to schedule your Business After Hours event. The Chamber will take care of advertising and sending out notices for your event. Member businesses, bring your business card and $2 for the drawings that take place at the Chamber After Hours events! Your business card is your entry for the "Dollar Draw" and the "Ad-mania" drawings. A business card will be drawn with the winner and the host of the After Hours splitting the "Dollar Draw" kitty. Then, two business cards will be drawn with the winners receiving free advertising on the Chamber's Web site (one month) and one free spot ad in the Chamber's monthly newsletter. A summary of the After Hours will be published on the Chamber Page, in the Chamber's official newsletter, and on the Chamber's official Web site. We look forward to seeing you at future Chamber After Hours events! Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies Have you recently opened your business? Are you having a Grand Opening or Grand Re-Opening? Then call the Chamber and get the word out about your business through this event. The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and presentation of your "First Dollar of Profit" from the Chamber will be photographed then published with an informational article on the monthly Chamber Page, in the Chamber's official newsletter, and on the Chamber's official Web site. Fee required for non-Chamber member businesses. Ag Appreciation Dinner More information to come. Senior Honors Dinner This annual event, held in early May, is hosted by the Chamber to honor Coffey County's graduating seniors who are recognized for sustained, academic excellence. Community businesses and organizations sponsor one or more graduating seniors for the banquet. The sponsorship covers the cost of the meal for the graduating senior and the senior's parent(s). Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation has been the long-standing sponsor of the guest speaker for this event. Individuals, businesses, and organizations interested in contributing to this event through sponsorship or other contribution, may call the Chamber (620.364.2002 or 877.364.2002) or e-mail the Chamber for more information.
