| The
Pizza Parlor has not always looked this good. It's evolved in to
what it is now by the hard work of the Williams family. The building
was purchased in 2003 and needed much work done to it. The entire roof
was replaced, they gutted the upstairs to make apartments, but the
Williams were unsure what to do with the downstairs. In 2006 the family
decided that the small town of LeRoy needed a restaurant that stayed
open in the evenings for the working families, farmers and youth. Vernon and his mother Wilda Williams worked faithfully nights and weekends for a year and a half until the Pizza Parlor doors were open for business. Along with Wilda, Vernon and many other family members and friends were there to help. Wilda single handedly chipped the plaster from the north wall and re-tucked the grout around each rock. This is the most stunning feature of the building. Vernon added his special touches to the building by adding the archways and the saufets. These features were calculated perfectly for the drop-down ceiling by Vernon’s brother Mark who helped plan how The Pizza Parlor would look with his 3 dimensional drawings. Vernon’s dad John was frequently at the building to help supervise. The Williams have been fortunate to have wonderful employees that they enjoy working with and listen to their thoughts and suggestions. At the Pizza Parlor they work together to make it the best atmosphere and food for their customers. Future plans for the Pizza Parlor include: courtyard tables for outdoor entertainment, a party room for special occasions, possible expansion of the dining room and kitchen, and ice cream. Owners, Christine & Vernon have added a new sign to the interior of The Pizza Parlor. This sign honors and recognizes Vernon's mother, Wilda, who spent many hours cleaning and scraping the rock wall that adorns the interior of the restaurant. This commemorates all of Wilda's hard work. Thank you, Wilda!! ![]() |
