BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Ken P. Caudell, President, Burlington Representative
Ken is the Co-owner/Co-Operator at South 75 Lanes, in Burlington, Kansas. He is also the IT Manager at Lyon-Coffey electric Cooperative. Ken attended Emporia State University. Some of Ken’s career highlights are, implementation of the State of Kansas District Court Network system, as well as, implementation of new customer and accounting software at Lyon-Coffey Electric Cooperative. Ken is currently the President of the Coffey County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, additionally, he is President of Coffey County United States Bowling Congress Association. Some of Ken’s hobbies are computers, bowling and shooting. Ken is married to Malissa and together they have two children, Bradon and Erin.
Kelli Higgins, Vice President, Burlington Representative
Kelli is the Owner/Photographer of Studio K Photography located in Burlington, Kansas. She is honored to photograph beautiful babies and family in the Kansas area! One of her career highlights is being named the 2012 KSBDA Emerging Business of the Year. Before starting her own business, Kelli worked in Real Estate/Insurance Marketing. Kelli is currently serving on the Coffey County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors as the Vice President. Her hobbies include, traveling, camping and gardening. Kelli was recently married to Austin Higgins and are the proud parents of their dog Zoe.
Aaron Bowman, Treasurer, Waverly Representative
Aaron is the General Manager of Tiffany’s Cabinets and Carpet. As General Manager he focuses on sales, service and customer satisfaction. Aaron has had the privilege to design many beautiful kitchens in Coffey County and surrounding area. Before taking on the role as General Manager, Aaron was store clerk a Waverly Lumber for 2 years, as well as, being store clerk at Garnett Siding & Lumber for 2 years. Aaron is currently serving on the Coffey County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors as Treasurer. This is his second year serving as Treasurer. Some of Aaron’s hobbies are fishing and landscaping. Aaron is married to Kimra, and they have two children, Connor (3) and Kylie (1).
Polly Ann Epting, Secretary, Gridley Representative
Polly is the Owner/Manager of Coffey County Land Title Co., Inc. Polly graduated from the University of Kansas with a Degree in Business Education. Polly is licensed as a title insurance agent, a Licensed real estate broker, owner of Main Street Realty, as well as, owner of Gary’s Marine & Auto for 10 years. Polly was in retail work from 1973 to 1983 as Owner, with her husband Gary, of Gary’s Marine & Auto. She has held a real estate license since 1975, becoming a broker in 1993, opening Main Street Realty. Polly established Coffey County Land Title in 1988. She has also had previous work experience as a legal secretary, a secretary in the insurance industry, and as a substitute teacher. Locally, Polly serves on the Coffey County Hospital Board, the Decision Making Authority for the City of Burlington, the Strategic Planning Committee for the county, as well as the Board of Directors for the Coffey County Chamber of Commerce. On the State and National Level, Polly serves on committees for the Kansas Land Title Association, the Education Committee for the American Land Title Association, and as a volunteer for the Kansas Honors Program for the University of Kansas. This year she is serving as an instruction at the Kansas Land Title Association school for licensing. When Polly finds time for hobbies, she enjoys playing tennis, exercising, yard work, reading and traveling. Her and her husband have been to every state except for North Dakota, Alabama, and Mississippi, but they plan on visiting those states eventually. Polly is married 45 years to Gary Epting. Polly and Gary have one daughter, Stephanie, who is a speech Pathologist and Therapy Coordinator. Stephanie is married and has one 5 year old son and they make their home in Kansas City. They also have one son, Brandon, who lives in Roselle, Illinois and has tree children. He is a dental hygienist.
Crystal Decker, Director, LeRoy Representative
Crystal is an Independent Scentsy Consultant/Director. She says she is blessed with the opportunity to run and manage a successful home based business. Recruiting new people to join her team, creatively named, Matchless Mafia. She currently has 39 consultants on her team. She trains and teaches her new team members new strategies to help them build successful businesses. She takes care of the day to day accounting and business management, as well as, establishing customer relationships. Crystal graduated from LeRoy High School and learned successful business techniques with the “live and Learn” method.
Crystal achieved Director rank with Scentsy in under a year. She also earned the 2011 Annual Sales Award in just 9 months. She was one of 60 Directors out of 1500 to participated in Scentsy's 2011 “Directors Boot camp” which was a week long training session at Scentsy’s headquarters in Meriden, Idaho. Crystal has also earned the 2011 Scentsy Incentive trip to Orlando, Florida. She has also earned top 100 in sales in the company 6 times in the past year. She has received the Scentsational Trainer award six times. A trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic is in Crystal’s future as she has been awarded the 2012 Scentsy Incentive Trip. Crystal was a stay at home Mom from 2002-2007. She is currently an Advertising Consultant for The Coffey County Republican, she has been there from 2007 to present. She began her journey to a successful business with Scentsy in June of 2010. Crystal is a Director on the Chamber Board of Directors. When not working at the paper or managing her Scentsy business, Crystal enjoys spending time with her family, as well as, shopping and fishing. She is married 12 years to Tim A. Decker and together have 3 wonderful children. Colleen, 9, Raleigh, 7 and Layla 2.
Patty Ann Sanborn, Director, Burlington Representative
Patty is an Agent at State Farm Insurance and she is there to help people manage risks of everyday life, recover from the unexpected and realize their dreams. She does all of this through auto, homeowners business and life and health policies. Patty graduated from Pittsburg State University. One of her career highlights was being appointed as the State Farm agent in 1992! Before her State Farm career, she was employed with Pitney Bowes as a sales representative. Patty serves on the Kansas Food Bank Board, Casa Board, and the Coffey County Chamber of Commerce Board. When she is not involved in her work, Patty enjoys quilting and boating. Patty is married to Gary Sanborn.
Jerry Julian, Director, Lebo Representative, CONTACT JERRY
Jerry recently join the Chamber Team as Director, representing the City of Lebo. He is Lebo City Council Finance Chairman. Jerry has retired after 31 years with Delta Airlines. Jerry serves on the Lebo City Council, Strategic Planning Advisory Committee, Trustee Lebo United Methodist Church, and is currently serving on the Coffey County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. In his spare time, Jerry enjoys reading and photography. Jerry is married to Charlene Julian.
